 Graduation Project Defense Exam Preparation-Exam and Thesis Submission Order




Dear Industrial Engineer Candidate Students,
 
The final thesis procedures to be carried out by the students are given separately under A and B numbers below. It is of great importance for the students to make the necessary preparations in line with the explanations and to successfully obtain the thesis output, which will also be a reference in business life.

A. THINGS TO DO BEFORE THE THESIS DEFENSE EXAM:
The student will receive the final correction requests and recommendations by showing his/her thesis to his/her Supervisor on 01-02 June 2023 at the latest.
The student, who gave the final shape to his thesis, wrote the final design project in 3 copies, in spiral bound form and 1 CD with the thesis loaded in Word-Pdf, and submitted the report to my Thesis Assistant Students Büşra İPŞİR and Elifnur KARAGÖZ on 06.06.2023 until 13.00. will be signed and delivered. Delivery can be made in my room on the 19th floor where I will be present or at the place Büşra and Elifnur will announce. These theses will be distributed by me to the Jury Members on the same day. Written (or verbal) criticism and correction requests of the Jury Members on these copies beforehand or during the defense examination will be fulfilled by the Student later. For this purpose, after the exam, the student will receive copies of his thesis from the members of the jury. The student will deliver the copies received from the members of the jury to Prof Dr. Kenan ÖZDEN when he comes for correction control. The corrected copy will also be shown to the members of the jury who wish to check.
The forms to be submitted in a pocket file together with the theses in Article 2 and to be filled in by your computer are explained below.
a. By adapting the Graduation Project Submission and Examination form, you will fill in 4 copies, get the Advisor's opinion, have it signed, and have it approved by the Head of the Department.
b. Graduation Design Project Evaluation Form will be adapted and filled in and delivered in 4 copies.
c. Graduation Design Project Defense Exam Minutes Form will be adapted and filled and delivered in 4 copies.
For explanations about the thesis defense presentation, content, and presentation to be prepared, please review the ANNEX-6 sent via e-mail.
Even if the student is successful in the thesis and defense exam, the PASS grade can be announced only after the successful completion of the procedures specified under the B heading below. For the announcement of the grades, all corrections, thesis printing approval, and hardcover submission processes must be completed by 03.07.2023.
 
B. AFTER EXAM CORRECTION, THESIS BINDING AND DELIVERY PROCEDURES:
1. After the exam, students, A-2. Taking into account the issues in the article, they will correct their thesis in line with the criticisms of the Advisor and other Jury Members during and after the exam and according to the principles of the thesis guide, and have the final checks done by the requesting jury members and finally by Prof Dr. Kenan ÖZDEN at their desks. For final checks, these should be brought with a clean stick memory in Word format (you can print it out if you wish). Correction, control, printing approval, and hardcover thesis delivery processes will be completed by 14.00 on Monday, 03.07.2023 at the latest. Considering the time, students should complete their thesis in the required standards without delaying their studies.
2. Students who received the “printable and binding approval” in these final checks, place the ANNEX-5 and APPENDIX-8 forms in the guide signed by Prof Dr. Kenan ÖZDEN, together with the inner cover, in the thesis in the order and order in APPENDIX-7, and the outer cover and back cover. They will bind the manuscript in 3 copies by the example in APPENDIX-8 (they can look at my examples). The font size of the spine text can be reduced to fit, or the thesis name can be shortened if necessary.
3. In addition, the label order of the CDs to be attached to the back covers of the 3 copies of the theses is in APPENDIX-9, the file content to be uploaded to the CDs is in APPENDIX-10 sent via e-mail, and the way of affixing the theses to the inner surface of the back covers is in APPENDIX-11 sent via e-mail. given. CDs should be affixed to the inside of the back covers of the theses in a way that allows the CD to be removed. The attached CD Labels suitable for writing in Word format will be filled with the new IGU logo and computer.
4. The theses in hardcover, CD, complete, and in 3 copies by the students personally by the students until 14.00 on Monday, 03.07.2023, at my last check, directly to Prof Dr. Kenan ÖZDEN by filling in and signing the submission form ANNEX-12. It will be delivered.
5. Success and failure grades of all students will be announced by the Advisors after the submission, according to the report to be submitted by Prof Dr. Kenan ÖZDEN.
