Faculty of Engineering and Architecture in Istanbul Gelisim University had its first students in 2011-2012 Academic Year and it continues to train scientists and engineers with the same stability and success since first day. The faculty started with 5 departments and today there are 13 departments.
The main purpose of our faculty is to train unique individuals who are open to scientific and technological developments, who are committed to the principles of Atatürk, who think scientific, contemporary and universally, who have team consciousness and ethical values, who have the ability to think critically, who are sensitive to society and the environment, who always look forward to the future with hope, perseverance and faith. We also indicate the same commitment with the educational model we apply at our University which is based on the standards and values we respect and also we are one of the pioneering universities in Turkey today.
In order to be recognized in national and international arena, we train our students with the curriculum developed under the philosophy "more than a school" and we consider it as our duty to equip them for life and future in addition with occupational competencies. We do not only provide theoretical knowledge to our students, but also reinforce the theoretical knowledge through the technical infrastructures, application centers, and the collaboration with universities, industries and private organizations and the various opportunities we offer. Students who graduate from our school continue to fulfill their duties with a great determination with all the necessary equipment and commitment once they step into the business world by using the competencies they have acquired and lifelong learning awareness. Our graduates have the opportunity to find jobs in many sectors, including public and private institutions, and represent our country and school in international arenas.
