To support the professional development of architecture students and facilitate their transition into the professional field, the Chamber of Architects Istanbul Metropolitan Branch Anadolu 1st Regional Representation (Kadıköy) is once again launching its traditional Summer Office Internship Program for 2025.
Dates: July 1 – August 5, 2025
Duration: 30 days (6 days per week, excluding Sundays)
Open to students who have completed the 3rd year or are currently in the 4th year of the Architecture Department at Istanbul Gelişim University.
Only 3 students will be accepted from each university.
Application deadline: May 30, 2025
Applications will be evaluated in order of submission.
Legal internship insurance will be provided by our university.

1. General Presentations
Architectural profession and ethics in Turkey and the world
Architectural service provision, organizational structure, and legal basis
Project process from contract to occupancy permit, including related terminology and legal documentation
Interdisciplinary presentations involving planning, geosciences, civil engineering, cartography, and more
2. Practice Workshops
Students will work on selected real parcels using authentic legal documents
Design and implementation projects will be carried out under the guidance of experienced freelance architects
3. Presentations on Architectural Culture
Architecture on the Princes' Islands
Bosphorus Waterfront Mansions
Urban transformation in Kadıköy–Moda
Haydarpaşa and Yeldeğirmeni districts
Environmental awareness in architectural design
Visit to an established architectural firm
Guided tour of Kadıköy Gasworks Cultural Center
This program aims to:
Familiarize students with real-life architectural practice
Provide hands-on experience in project development processes
Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration
Help future architects develop professional responsibility and awareness
