Who is a Peer Mentor?
Studying in different departments within the framework of the principles established by the Career Development Center and determined by the Center; composed of students who have strong communication skills and are prone to teamwork; The department leaders, who take an active role in career center studies, produce and implement projects, and are in contact with both the sector and their peers, are students.
Aim of the Program
Our aim in creating the Peer Mentor program is to bring together students from different departments, who care about their social development and have organizational skills, to realize and develop their potential. In this context, they will be able to develop their competencies and skills in line with the expectations of business life by making use of special training and organizations for mentors. While doing all these, an article will be created by testing the functionality of this program, which we have specially prepared in order to contribute to the academic field.
Peer Mentor Selection Criteria
• Being a 2nd, 3rd and 4th year student of Istanbul Gelişim University undergraduate departments.
• Strong communication skills and eager to create new connections.
• Taking an active role in projects, preferably speaking a foreign language, active in student clubs.
• Being open to development, loving to research, and willing to establish new connections.
• To prepare and present various career-related content.
