The external stakeholder visit between the IGU Department of Architecture, the Chamber of Architects Bakırköy Branch, and SW Architecture took place on 30 October 2025. During the meeting, potential collaborations were discussed that could strengthen the relationship between architectural education and professional organizations, and create bridges between students and the professional field. Representing our institution, Assoc. Prof. İlke Ciritci and Dr. Semih Göksel Yıldırım attended the meeting, while the Chamber of Architects Bakırköy Branch was represented by Architect Ayça Yazıcı, and SW Architecture was represented by Architect Ömer Yeşildal.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to organize a “Professional Chamber - Architecture Students Meeting” at our institution in December, with the participation of 3rd- and 4th-year students. Additionally, a seminar will be held to introduce the Chamber’s free training programs, which provide students with valuable sectoral experience.
