Dear Students and Academics,
Organized by Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Department of Climate and Meteorology Engineering, the EUMETSAT H SAF Workshop: Precipitation Products and Their Applications will be held online via Zoom on February 26, 2026.
The workshop will focus on the scientific basis, diversity, and application areas of precipitation products developed under the H SAF (Support to Operational Hydrology and Water Management) Project, using satellite observations to provide high-quality rainfall, snow cover, and soil moisture data.
Topics include:
Overview of the H SAF Project and management
Precipitation product diversity: IR and MW-based algorithms and updated data sets
Data access via the H SAF data portal and available formats
The event is free of charge and open to all interested participants, including students, researchers, and professionals in the field.
