Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) will hold the Opening Ceremony of the 2025–2026 Academic Year on Friday, October 24, 2025, with the participation of academic and administrative staff.
The ceremony will take place at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall, J Block, Avcılar Campus. The opening speeches will be delivered by Rector Prof. Bahri ŞAHİN, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Abdülkadir GAYRETLİ, and Minister of Trade Prof. Ömer BOLAT.
The program will begin with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, followed by the IGU promotional film screening and opening speeches. The first lecture of the academic year will be titled “Gaza–Palestine.”
A cocktail reception will be held at 09:00, and the official program will start at 09:30. Faculty members are kindly requested to attend the ceremony in their academic robes.
