Asst. Prof. İbrahim Rasin DÜZCEER, a faculty member of the Civil Engineering Department and President of the Turkish Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, held a meeting with the Governor of Istanbul, Mr. Davut Gül, on behalf of the conference organizing committee as part of the preparations for the 19th European Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (XIX ECSMGE), to be held in Istanbul on August 21–25, 2028.
During the meeting, the preparation process of the conference, strategies to increase international participation, and plans to ensure that Istanbul hosts this important scientific event at the highest standards were discussed.
It was emphasized that the preparatory activities for the XIX ECSMGE will continue in close cooperation with relevant institutions to ensure a high level of international participation and scientific quality.
The department congratulates Asst. Prof. İbrahim Rasin DÜZCEER for his contributions to this important international organization and wishes him continued success in his professional endeavors.
