Asst. Prof. İbrahim Rasin DÜZCEER, a faculty member of the Civil Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, participated in the Executive Committee meeting of the European Federation of Foundation Contractors (EFFC), held in Haarlem, the Netherlands.
During the meeting, the current state of the geotechnical construction sector and future strategies were discussed, with a particular focus on sustainability and the integration of emerging technologies. Key topics included the development of a sustainability-oriented software tool for measuring and reducing carbon footprint, as well as the application of artificial intelligence in deep foundation engineering.
The meeting also highlighted that Turkish geotechnical companies demonstrate a high level of engineering performance in both national and international projects, comparable to leading firms worldwide.
The department congratulates Asst. Prof. İbrahim Rasin DÜZCEER for representing the department on an international platform and wishes him continued success in his professional and academic endeavors.
