An Internship Orientation Meeting was held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, for students enrolled in the Civil Engineering Turkish and English programs at Istanbul Gelisim University.
The session was conducted by Res. Asst. Oğuzhan Murat HALAT, a faculty member of the department. During the orientation, students were thoroughly informed about the academic and administrative steps required throughout the compulsory summer internship process.
The presentation covered key topics such as the internship application timeline, required documents, approval procedures, insurance registration, start and end dates, internship logbook and report formatting, submission deadlines, and evaluation criteria.
Additionally, frequently encountered issues were addressed, and suggestions were offered. Students were also informed about possible internship opportunities and the professional and ethical responsibilities they should observe during their internships.
As the Department of Civil Engineering, we consider the internship process not only an academic obligation but also a vital step in professional development and career preparation. We thank all participating students and wish them a successful and productive internship period.
