Ahmad ALBASHA, a graduate student in the Department of Civil Engineering at Gelisim University, has successfully defended his master’s thesis titled “The Effect of Ground Motion and Number of Stories on the Seismic Behavior of Multi-Story Reinforced Concrete Structures.” This accomplishment marks a significant academic milestone in his graduate studies.
The thesis investigates a key issue in earthquake engineering, exploring how different ground motion intensities and the number of stories influence the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete structures. The findings contribute to the development of safer, more resilient structural designs.
The thesis was supervised by Asst. Prof. Ahmad Reshad NOORI, Chair of the Department of Civil Engineering, and evaluated by a thesis jury comprising Asst. Prof. Hamit ÖZTÜRK and Asst. Prof. Timuçin Alp ASLAN. The committee commended the study's methodological approach and practical relevance.
We extend our sincere congratulations to Ahmad ALBASHA for his academic success and wish him continued achievements in his academic and professional pursuits. We also thank the thesis committee members for their valuable guidance and contributions to the evaluation process.
