Project Featuring Chair of Department Asst. Prof. Ahmad Reshad NOORI Has Been Accepted

Asst. Prof. Ahmad Reshad NOORI, Chair of Department of Civil Engineering at Istanbul Gelisim University, is participating as a researcher in a newly accepted project focused on the static and dynamic analysis of functionally graded porous sandwich shell structures. The project aims to improve structural performance with potential applications in defense, aerospace, and biomedical fields.

Asst. Prof. Ahmad Reshad NOORI, Chair of Department of Civil Engineering at Istanbul Gelisim University, is contributing as a researcher to the project titled Static and Dynamic Analysis of Functionally Graded Porous Sandwich Shell Problems. This project represents a notable scientific contribution in the field of advanced structural mechanics.

The 12-month research initiative is led by Assoc. Prof. Yurdakul AYGÖRMEZ and is being carried out in collaboration with Res. Asst. Asena Pınar ÖZER and Asst. Prof. Ahmad Reshad NOORI. The aim of the project is to analyze the static and dynamic behavior of functionally graded and porous sandwich shell structures, which are commonly used in various engineering applications, using high-level mathematical and numerical modeling approaches.

The study focuses on evaluating these structures under different thermal, loading, and boundary conditions, with the goal of improving understanding of their strength and stability. The insights gained are expected to contribute to the development of safer and more efficient structural designs. In addition, the analytical models derived from this project are anticipated to be applicable across multiple industries including defense, aerospace, automotive, and biomedical engineering.

We congratulate Chair of Department Asst. Prof. Ahmad Reshad NOORI for his valuable role in this promising research effort and wish the entire project team continued success in their academic work.
