The Civil Engineering Department organized a technical visit to the Akçansa factory under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Anıl NİŞ and Asst. Prof. Hamit ÖZTÜRK.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to tour the factory’s technical offices and production facilities and gain detailed information about cement and concrete production processes. Through presentations and on-site observations, students reinforced their theoretical knowledge with practical industrial applications.
As part of the technical program, slump tests and concrete compression tests were also demonstrated to students, emphasizing the importance of laboratory and quality control procedures in engineering practice.
Such technical visits contribute to students’ professional development by enabling direct interaction with the industry.
