Practical Workshop Activities for High School Students Held at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Within the scope of the workshops, students were first introduced to the fundamental principles of electronic circuits through theoretical explanations. In the practical sessions, circuit setups were carried out on breadboards using resistors and LEDs. Students had the chance to closely examine the functions of basic circuit components and observe the operating principles of the circuits they assembled.

Throughout the activities, students gained knowledge about essential concepts such as electric current, resistance, circuit connections, and LED operating principles, while also acquiring hands-on engineering experience. The workshops were conducted interactively, allowing students to actively participate by building and testing their own circuits, which attracted significant interest and engagement.

The workshops aimed to increase high school students’ awareness of engineering disciplines, provide them with practical learning experiences, and help them become familiar with the university environment. The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Istanbul Gelisim University will continue to organize application-oriented educational and promotional activities for students.
