Istanbul Gelisim University is implementing another significant investment aimed at strengthening its infrastructure in the fields of engineering and R&D.
In collaboration with the Department of Aerospace Engineering and the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at İGÜ, the “Subsonic Wind Tunnel,” established within the Aerodynamic Research Laboratory—which boasts the most advanced technical features among foundation universities—will be inaugurated at a ceremony on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
With dimensions of 50 x 80 x 200 cm and a test speed of 50 m/s, the “Subsonic Wind Tunnel” will make significant contributions to our university's engineering and aviation R&D studies, providing our students and researchers with opportunities for experimental learning and application.
