 A visit from the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Ankara to IGU!
In order to strengthen international cooperation in the field of education, Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) hosted Assoc. Prof. Faysal Osra, the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Ankara. The visit focused on improving educational relations between the two countries and providing more opportunities for students from Saudi Arabia.

In order to strengthen international cooperation in the field of education, Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) hosted Assoc. Prof. Faysal Osra, the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Ankara. The visit focused on improving educational relations between the two countries and providing more opportunities for students from Saudi Arabia.

Istanbul Gelisim University Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin Vice Rectors Prof.  Nuri Kuruoğlu, Prof.  Arda Öztürkcan and International Students Office Director Umedjon Haitmurodov participated to the meeting. During the meeting, the issues of increasing the existing educational opportunities offered to students from Saudi Arabia, developing new projects and deepening the cultural and academic ties of both countries were discussed.

Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin said, “Such collaborations give students not only an academic but also a cultural perspective. We are determined to provide all kinds of support for our international students to improve themselves here. Istanbul Gelişim University aims to contribute to the academic and personal development of these students with the wide educational opportunities and supports it offers for students from Saudi Arabia.''



At the end of the visit, it was emphasized that IGU will continue to contribute to the strengthening of the ties between the two countries by deepening its educational relations with Saudi Arabia and concrete steps will be taken to strengthen the existing cooperation. Furthermore, it is planned that more efficient projects will be developed in the future. It was also mentioned that such initiatives play a significant role not only in the field of education, but also in terms of cultural interaction and international understanding.
