 China's East China Jiaotong University and Istanbul Gelisim University have reached a cooperation agreement!
Representatives from one of China's reputable universities, East China Jiaotong University (ECJTU), scheduled a visit to Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) on November 6, 2024. While IGU Rector Prof. Bahri Sahin, Vice Rectors Prof. Arda Ozturkcan, Prof. Necmettin Maraşlı, Prof. Nuri Kuruoğlu, and International Exchange and Cooperation Coordinator Alisa Usubova attended the meeting as part of the visit on behalf of Istanbul Gelişim University, senior academic and administrative administrators, including Rector Liu Hesheng, TTO Director Chen Ke, Human Resources Director Li Dongwei, International School Dean Zhu Wanghai, and Technology Transfer Center Director Luo Guoliang, attended on behalf of ECJTU.

Opportunities for cooperation in the field of education and possible initiatives between the two universities were thoroughly explored during the discussion. Coordination in fields including engineering, technology transfer, international ventures, and Chinese language instruction was the main focus.

ECJTU is regarded as one of China's top multidisciplinary universities, ranking 180th out of about 3000 Chinese institutions. ECJTU, which is well-known for its robust academic base in engineering and transportation, hosts numerous foreign projects and adds to China's cutting-edge engineering infrastructure.

The international partnerships of IGU are growing stronger!

Officials from ECJTU were shown around the IGU campus following the signing of the partnership protocol. After the visit, ECJTU Technology Transfer Office (TTO) Director Chen Ke and IGU TTO Director Yahya Kemal Kiran had in-depth talks on upcoming initiatives. These discussions present significant chances for the two universities to work together on future projects.

Istanbul Gelisim University seeks to have a global influence in academia and research and attracts attention with its strong position in international relations and its knowledge of quality in education. Such agreements strengthen international cooperation even as they raise the IGU's profile globally.

The cooperation arrangement is seen as a significant step in strengthening the IGU's ties with China and expanding the ECJTU's global influence. Collaborations in the domains of technology, research, and education are expected to support both universities' academic achievements on a worldwide scale.
