Within the scope of the European Higher Education Area ( AYA) harmonization studies, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) granted the right to use the TYÇ logo on graduation certificates to programs that meet certain conditions as of December 23, 2021. Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), which progresses with the vision of 'World University', ranked 1st in the list as the university with 45 graduation certificates with the TYÇ logo that provide international employment opportunities.
This year, the Guide to Higher Education Programs and Quotas will include programs with the TYÇ logo for the first time. 894 undergraduate and 4 associate degree programs of 109 universities across Turkey will use the TYÇ logo in the 2024 Guide. In order to be included in the Guide, the relevant departments of the universities must be accredited by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) or recognized accreditation bodies, the qualification form must be appropriate, and the Vocational Qualifications Authority ( MYK) must be included in the Turkish Qualifications Database.
When the TYÇ Logo appears on graduation certificates, it gives students an advantage in the international arena. The diplomas of students graduating from these programs are recognized abroad faster and employment opportunities increase. In addition, the TYÇ Logo contributes to student mobility by facilitating the recognition of higher education internship qualifications and study periods spent abroad.
