Istanbul Gelisim University Lecturer Mehmet Göl is playing an important role in the “R&D and Innovation Movement for Safe Innovative Electric Communicating and Autonomous Vehicles for Private and General Purposes” (YEHO) project within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1511, one of Turkey's innovative projects in automotive and transportation technologies. IGU Lecturer Mehmet Göl holds a critical position in the development of the vehicle's autonomous parking technology.
The YEHO project, led by OTOKAR, is a major breakthrough in the development of electric, communicating and autonomous (EHO) vehicles. As part of this project, 2RYA is focusing on the development of autonomous driving technologies, especially autonomous parking systems. This technology aims to enable the vehicle to detect the parking area, perform appropriate parking maneuvers and park safely.
Moving forward with the vision of “Research University”, IGU attaches importance to science and R&D studies by contributing to the production of new technologies. In this project, Lecturer Mehmet Göl, Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO), Department of Biomedical Device Technology, is working to increase the contribution of 2RYA to autonomous vehicle technologies. This project is an important example where academic knowledge and R&D capabilities meet industrial applications, contributing to Turkey's technological development.
