 IGU High School Summer Academy attracted great interest again this year!
'2024 High School Summer Academy' was held at Istanbul Gelisim University on 08 - 09 July, where high school students experienced university courses. In the academy, which attracted great interest from students, 8 workshop activities introducing different departments were held.

In order to provide high school students with a university experience at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Res. Asst. Nursuna Büşra Çetinkaya organized a Three Dimensional Jaw Model Making Workshop in Dentistry, Lecturer Buse Kerigan organized a Creative Drama Workshop, Lecturer Ahmet Bikiç organized a Drone Workshop, Asst. Prof. Mahruk Rashidi organized the Nursing Workshop, Lecturer Kemal Şahanlık organized the Pasta Workshop, Asst. Prof. Serkan Gönen organized the ABC's of Computer Programming Workshop, Lecturer Aylin Koç organized the Stage and Lens Makeup Workshop and Prof. Osman Ergüven Vatandaş organized the Aircraft Engineering and Design Workshop. Thanks to the practical methods experienced in the workshops as well as theoretical explanations, students have the opportunity to learn about the departments before starting university.



At the 2024 High School Summer Academy organized by Istanbul Gelisim University, which lasted for two days, high school students participated in various workshops and experienced the courses of different departments. 127 students participated in the workshops, including 25 students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the fellow school of Avcılar District Directorate of National Education. High school students participating in the summer academy stated that experiencing the departments they want to study makes the preference process easier.
