Minister of Technology and Industry Mehmet Fatih Kacır visited IGU stand at TEKNOFEST

The stand of the EcoGrow project developed by IGU AgroBits team at TTO was visited by many investors, academics and students on the 3rd day of TEKNOFEST. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Technology and Industry, also visited the Istanbul Gelisim University stand and received information about the EcoGrow project.

TEKNOFEST 2024, one of the world's largest technology competitions, is being held this year in 46 main categories and 117 sub-categories. Participants from all levels of education from primary school to university, graduates and professionals attended the finals of the competition held at Antalya Anfaş International Expo and Congress Center on September 5-8. The participants who successfully completed the last stage of the competition will receive their awards on the main platform of TEKNOFEST Adana.

Lecturer İzzet Yavuz from Istanbul Gelisim University TEKNOFEST team AgroBits and IGU students Kaan Irmak and İrem Türkyılmaz drew attention at TEKNOFEST with the project called EcoGrow in the field of 'Agricultural Technologies'. With the EcoGrow project, the AgroBits team achieved a great success as one of the 38 finalists.

Investors operating in the fields of software, agriculture and robotics, and companies interested in agricultural technologies showed special interest in the EcoGrow project. Groups of high school and university students also examined the project and received information. Throughout the process, IGU Vice Rector Prof. Arda Öztürkcan and TTO Director Yahya Kemal Kıran took part in TEKNOFEST to support the team.
