Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), moving forward with the vision of "Research University", provides opportunities for its students to work on scientific, technological, research and development. According to the results of the call for the 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program 2023/2nd period, carried out by the TUBITAK Directorate of Science Human Support Programs (BİDEB), 29 projects out of 97 applications of IGU students were entitled to be supported. In 2023, IGU's 2209-A Project is supported with a total of 72 projects.
The program aims to encourage undergraduate and graduate students studying at universities to conduct research through projects. In the program where the projects developed by faculty members and students are supported, Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture was entitled to be supported by TÜBİTAK with 4 projects developed by students and academicians.
