Summer Internship
Compulsory internship is the period of working outside the school, which is documented within the conditions determined by the department and approved by the department, in order for the student to graduate. It is the student's responsibility to find the company where he/she will do his/her internship.
Our university can provide a certain number of quotas from various companies. Announcements about this are made by the department.
In order to graduate, our students must successfully complete the compulsory 30 working days first summer internship - Summer Internship I(in the field of machine or aircraft design, production methods and maintenance activities) and 30 working days second summer internship - Summer Internship II(in the field of design, production, testing and maintenance activities for all types of aircraft such as aircraft, helicopters, UAVs). Summer Internship I is done in the summer term following the second grade and Summer Internship II is done in the summer term following the third grade.

Every student doing an internship must fill out the application form before starting and the internship logbook after finishing, have them approved by the workplace, and then upload the internship logbooks to the OBIS SYSTEM ONLINE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE INTERNSHIP ENDS.
If our students delay the submission of their internship logbook within the 30-day period specified on the OBİS system, they have the right to apply to the department within 7 days for the internship logbook to be reviewed and approved. Students have been informed about this via OBİS. Internship logbooks must be submitted to the department in person.
(INTERNSHIPS MAY BEGIN AFTER FINALS. HOWEVER, FOR STUDENTS TAKING A MAKE-UP EXAM, THE MAKE-UP EXAM DAY IS NOT ACCEPTED AS AN INTERNSHIP DAY. // YÖK HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS PRACTICAL TRAINING FRAMEWORK REGULATION Internship Article 19-3)

Points to Consider When Filling Out the Internship Logbook are listed below:
The language used when filling out the logbook should be formal writing language (passive voice). Use academic language and pay attention to spelling rules.
Supporting elements related to the topic (screenshots, photos, drawings, and equations) should be added.
Entries should not be too short or contain unnecessary long phrases copied and pasted.
For logs filled out on a computer, the font should be Times New Roman and size 12. Do not use large font sizes to make the log appear full.
Do not write in a diary/novel style. (e.g., drank tea, drank coffee, had a meeting, etc.)
Technical details should be specified.
Internship forms should be filled out daily. Each page must have the date on it. Each page must have a wet signature stamp.
INTERNSHIP NOTEBOOKS ARE READ INDIVIDUALLY, AND STUDENTS WHO SUBMIT THE SAME NOTEBOOK WILL HAVE THEIR INTERNSHIPS REJECTED AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THEM.
