Istanbul Gelisim University is realizing another significant investment to strengthen its infrastructure in engineering and R&D.
In cooperation with the IGU Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, and the Technology Transfer Office (TTO), the “Subsonic Wind Tunnel,” which has the most advanced technical features among foundation universities, has been established within the Aerodynamics Research Laboratory and will be inaugurated at a ceremony on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
With its dimensions of 50 x 80 x 200 cm and a test speed of 50 m/s, the “Subsonic Wind Tunnel” will make important contributions to the university’s engineering and aviation R&D studies, offering students and researchers opportunities for experimental learning and application.
