A seminar-style presentation was delivered to undergraduate students by Chaimaa SEBBAR and Abdiaziz Mohamed ABDI, master’s students supervised by Assoc. Prof. Ahmad Reshad NOORI, Chair of the Civil Engineering Department.
The presentation, titled “Calculation of Building Period Using AI-Generated Codes,” focused on the growing role of artificial intelligence in civil engineering and its potential contributions to structural analysis processes. Particular emphasis was placed on the use of AI-generated codes in building period calculations and the advantages these technologies offer in terms of speed, efficiency, and analytical accuracy.
The seminar also addressed the importance of building period estimation in earthquake engineering, differences between conventional calculation methods and next-generation digital approaches, and the future role of artificial intelligence in the construction industry.
Such seminars aim to help students stay informed about emerging technologies, strengthen their academic research awareness, and better understand the ongoing digital transformation in engineering.
