“Future Engineers and Architects Project Festival” Successfully Held at Istanbul Gelisim University

“Future Engineers and Architects Project Festival,” organized by Istanbul Gelisim University for 9th–12th grade high school students, was successfully held on April 15, 2026. While the projects prepared in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering were evaluated by an academic jury, the students also had the opportunity to closely experience the university environment.

Organized under the coordination of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Istanbul Gelisim University, the “Future Engineers and Architects Project Festival” was successfully held on April 15, 2026. The event provided high school students with the opportunity to experience project development, presentation, and academic evaluation processes, while also strengthening the interaction between higher education and secondary education.

Within the scope of the festival, projects prepared in the fields of Computer and Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechatronics, Civil Engineering and Architecture, and Industrial Engineering were evaluated by jury members. The innovative ideas and solution-oriented approaches of the students were highly appreciated.

As the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, we were pleased to take part in this meaningful event, which encourages high school students to develop an early interest in engineering disciplines. Throughout the festival, participants had the opportunity not only to present their projects in an academic environment but also to closely observe the educational and research infrastructure of our university.

The event contributed to the development of students’ scientific thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and presentation skills, while also serving as an important platform for strengthening collaboration between universities and high schools.

Following the competition process, a workshop was also organized for high school students. Through this activity, participants gained practical insights into the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and had the opportunity to become more familiar with the department’s areas of study.

As the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, we would like to thank our university for supporting future engineer candidates and congratulate all participating students, their supervising teachers, and the jury members who contributed to the organization.
