Prof. Serkan Gönen will be a speaker at the EIT Deep Tech Talent – “Pledgers' Share & Connect: Expanding Towards a Broader STEM Community” event to be held at the University of Barcelona on December 2–3, 2025.
Europe's Deep Tech Ecosystem Gathers in Barcelona
Supported by the European Union, the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative has become one of Europe's most comprehensive talent development programs, providing training in deep tech to over 1.3 million people to date.
The two-day event in Barcelona brings together the initiative's Pledger community to collaborate on cooperation, knowledge sharing, and opening up new STEM fields.
CyberShield Innovators Project will be Introduced on an International Platform
Supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, coordinated by Istanbul Gelişim University, and carried out in partnership with the Proficiency Institute in Germany, the CyberShield Innovators project, which reached 1,205 participants from various countries, is one of the first cybersecurity training programs supported in Turkey under the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative. The project attracts attention across Europe with its digital security, threat awareness, and deep technology-based training models.
In this context, Assoc. Prof. Serkan Gönen will organize a workshop titled “Cyber Awareness: Social Engineering & Cyberbullying” during the parallel sessions to be held on December 2, 2025. The workshop will provide participants with practical content on social engineering attacks, phishing, fake website cloning techniques, and effective protection methods against online security risks.
Participation in this event is of great importance in terms of increasing the visibility of the CyberShield Innovators project in Europe.
