 International Dual Achievement by Istanbul Gelisim University
Istanbul Gelisim University is proud to add a new achievement to its record of academic success. Asst. Prof. Bahadır Kopçasız, a faculty member in the Department of Basic Sciences at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, has been honored with the “Best Researcher Award” within the scope of both the Global Particle Physics Excellence Awards 2025 and the Math Scientist Awards 2025, where distinguished researchers worldwide are nominated.
 
After completing his doctoral studies at Bursa Uludag University, Asst. Prof. Bahadır Kopçasız continued his academic career at Istanbul Gelisim University. His areas of expertise include computational methods, nonlinear partial differential equations, soliton theory, and Lie symmetries. His research is not confined to the theoretical dimension of mathematics but is also conducted in interaction with disciplines such as quantum physics, engineering, machine learning, and optimization.
 
Asst. Prof. Bahadır Kopçasız has published numerous articles in internationally respected, high-impact journals. These works demonstrate that his contributions extend not only to theoretical mathematics but also to applied sciences and interdisciplinary research. In particular, his studies on modeling nonlinear dynamics, soliton solutions, the application of computational methods to quantum systems, and artificial intelligence-based optimization techniques hold significant importance for both sustainability and advanced engineering applications.
 
As highlighted in the jury reports, Asst. Prof. Bahadır Kopçasız’s future research has strong potential for broader collaborations with international consortia, an increase in publications in Q1 journals, and mentorship of young researchers. In this regard, he is projected to become a pioneering academic not only in Türkiye but also on a global scale.
