Computer Engineering Student Internship Regulation
The internship period for students enrolled in our department in 2016 and before (3rd and 4th Grades) is 40 working days. The internship period for students enrolled in 2017 and beyond (1st and 2nd Grades) is determined by our university senate as 60 working days. The internship period for students enrolled with DGS who are still in the 3rd or 4th grade is 40 working days and 60 working days for those who enroll later.
The steps to be followed in internships are presented below:
Finding the Suitable Internship Place (There is an obligation to have at least 1 (one) Computer Engineer at the place of internship.),
Filling the “Internship Application Petition” received from the internet (https://oidb.gelisim.edu.tr/Sayfa/staj) on the computer by the company and signing it by the company (3 (three) copies by the Responsible Computer Engineer and the company seal),
The petitioner must start at the latest 7 (seven) business days before starting work;
Signing first to the Head of the Computer Engineering Department, then to the Dean, and finally to the Student Affairs,
Delivering 1 (one) copy of the documents signed by the student affairs to the Head of Department,
Receiving and filling the notebook from Student Affairs [The Internship Book application has ended. Instead, the file to be taken from the Student Affairs Web Page will be filled in on the computer (2 copies)],
The internship book must be handed over to the Department Head within maximum 1 (one) month from the end date.
The matters to be considered in filling the internship books are as follows:
The language used when filling the notebook should be passive.
Snippet-Photo-Code snippets should be added.
Writings should not be too short. (NEGATIVE).
It should not be written like a diary / novel. (Tea was drunk, coffee was drunk, meeting was held, etc.) (NEGATIVE).
Technical details should be written.
* The Internship Book application has ended. Instead, the file to be taken from the Student Affairs Web Page will be filled in on the computer (2 copies).
