Department History

Computer Engineering, a field that has become a common area of collaboration for all engineering disciplines and is needed across all sectors, is one of the departments within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Istanbul Gelişim University.

The Department of Computer Engineering, one of the most prominent professions of the information age, welcomed its first students in the 2011-2012 academic year. The curriculum of the program was designed in alignment with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), and the department graduated its first cohort in the 2014-2015 academic year.

Courses are conducted both theoretically and practically in appropriate classrooms or in computer and mechatronics laboratories. This offers students the opportunity to apply in practice what they have learned theoretically and to develop projects.
