Department History

Computer Engineering, which has become a common field of study for all engineering disciplines and is needed in every sector, is one of the departments within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Istanbul Gelişim University.

As one of the most prominent professions of the information age, the Computer Engineering Department admitted its first students in the 2011–2012 academic year. The program curriculum was designed in compliance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), and the department graduated its first cohort in the 2014–2015 academic year.

Courses are conducted both theoretically and practically in suitable classrooms as well as in computer and mechatronics laboratories. The program provides students with the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired into practice and to develop innovative projects.
