Tech Talks - 4: OT/ICS Cybersecurity Seminar Held

The seminar titled “OT/ICS Cybersecurity”, organized by the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Istanbul Gelisim University within the scope of Tech Talks - 4, was held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 14:00 in J Block, 3rd Floor, Auditorium 311.

Halid Duman, Software Development Specialist at CBERNET Information Technologies Consultancy Inc., participated in the event as the speaker. During the seminar, the importance of operational technology systems and industrial control systems in terms of cybersecurity was discussed. Participants were informed about the security risks that may be encountered in OT/ICS environments, the protection of critical infrastructures, and the technical competencies required in this field.

Current approaches and sectoral experiences in the field of OT/ICS cybersecurity were shared. At the end of the seminar, students had the opportunity to ask questions about the topic and gain insight into industry practices.
