The activities organized by the Industrial Engineering Club since its establishment are summarized below, from present to past:
 

15-16 May 2024 Gelisim Summit
Gelisim Summit, co-organized by Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MMF) Industrial Engineering Club, was held on 15-16 May 2024. Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MMF) Industrial Engineering Club, Yöntek Club, Architecture and Design Club, Digital Entrepreneurship and e-Commerce Club, Cyber Security Club and Civil Engineering Club came together within the scope of the Development Summit and offered a rich program to the participants. During the event, many experienced names in the industry met with the participants and shared their knowledge and experiences in their fields. Leading names of the industry below guided our students with their inspiring speeches.
 
3 May 2024 Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit
Industrial Engineering Club hosted the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit on Friday, May 3, 2024. At the fourth event, leading experts in the industry gave inspiring speeches on entrepreneurship and leadership, shared their experiences and gave guiding speeches to the students. In addition to all these, an interactive event was organized by offering interactive sessions, raffles and networking opportunities.
 
26 February 2024 Alumni Interview
The Alumni Interview was held on Monday, February 26, 2024, with the participation of one of our 2020 graduates, Ma*** Öz***. Ma*** Öz*** came together with Industrial Engineering students at K-Block Auditorium on Monday, 26.02.2024 between 13.00-15.00 and answered the questions our students were curious about. 13 November 2023 ADS Engineering technical trip
During the ADS Engineering technical tour organized on November 13, 2023, under the guidance of Industrial Engineering Club Advisor Dr. Umut Hulusi İnan, the students visited the production, planning, quality department and R&D center and gained information from the company managers.
 
31 May 2023 2m Cable technical trip
During the 2m Cable technical tour held on May 31, 2023, the students first met with Occupational Health and Safety experts and were informed about the things to consider before the factory tour. During the technical tour, the students visited the production, planning, quality department and R&D center and gained information from the company managers.
 
6 April 2023 ERP Workshop
An online ERP workshop was held by the Industrial Engineering Club on April 6, 2023, at 17:00. Interested students attended to the event was held by Login Software Business Solutions Manager Ah*** Sa*** Gö***.
 
11 October 2023 Department Orientation
An Orientation Program was organized for new students (first year, horizontal transfer, vertical transfer) on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 11:00 in classroom number K-Block 806.
 
3 October 2022 Department Orientation
On Monday, October 3, 2022, "Department Orientation" has been held for the first-year, horizontal and vertical transfer students who have newly registered to our university to introduce our department, faculty, university, the services, and opportunities they will benefit from, and to make them feel that they are part of the IGU family.
In this context, all our faculty members introduced themselves and senior professor made a Department Orientation presentation. Within the scope of the presentation, it is aimed to enable the students to adapt to the School and the Department more quickly by giving information about the meaning and duties of Industrial Engineering, the Department's curriculum, laboratory and physical facilities, our educational goals and principles, directives and regulations.
 
20 April 2021 Recruitment and Interview Techniques Seminar
An online seminar on "Recruitment and Interview Techniques" was held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, between 13.00-15.00, under the leadership of the Industrial Engineering Department student club. Ay*** Yı*** and Ve*** Gü*** attended the seminar as speakers and shared their knowledge and experiences with our students. This event brings together our students, especially those who are close to graduation, with industry representatives and discuss career goals, CV preparation, interview techniques, etc. It enabled them to gain different perspectives on the subject.
 
8 February 2021 Nursing Home Morale Concert
An online morale concert was organized for the nursing home on Monday, February 8, 2021, at 13:30, under the leadership of the Industrial Engineering Department Student Club and in cooperation with the Music Club of our University.
 
10 December 2019 Lean Six Sigma Training
In the training organized by the instructor of the "Six Sigma Applications" course in the Department of Industrial Engineering, the Six Sigma expert team of BORUSAN automotive company and the active participation of 4th grade Industrial Engineering students, the importance of lean awareness game and simplifying processes was conveyed.
 
30 November - 1 December 2019 MS Project Training
The "Project Management and MsProject" certificate program will be held between 30 November and 1 December 2019, under the leadership of the MMO IGU Industrial Engineering Student Commission President, in cooperation with Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MMF) Industrial Engineering Department and TMMOB Chamber of Mechanical Engineers. It was held in Beylikdüzü Branch. Education was given by ITU member Dr. Mu*** Du***. 23 students of the department who participated in this 2-day program were given certificates at the end of the program.
 
26 November, 2019 Industry 4.0 and Digitalization Conference
"Industry 4.0 and Digitalization Conference" organized by the Department of Industrial Engineering was held at the IGU GSF Conference Hall in order to contribute to the vision of the students and expand their perspectives. Siemens Türkiye Digitalization and Industry 4.0 Marketing Manager De*** İr*** attended the conference as a speaker. De*** İr***, who shared her knowledge and experiences on the subject, was listened to with interest by the students.
 
24 September, 2019 Department Orientation
On September 24, 2019, an orientation training was organized and an introductory presentation was made by the department for the newly joined first-year students, in order to enable them to get to know the department faculty members, the services and opportunities they will benefit from, and to make them feel that they are part of the IGU family. At the beginning of the meeting, all faculty members introduced themselves one by one and gave advice to our new students. Within the scope of the presentation, the Department Head gave information about the meaning and areas of duty of Industrial Engineering, the department's curriculum, laboratories and facilities, our education-training goals and principles, directives and regulations, so that the students could adapt to the school and department more quickly.
 
2m Cable Technical Trip
During the 2m Cable technical tour, held under the guidance of Industrial Engineering Lecturer Prof. Dr. Tarık Çakar, the students first met with Occupational Health and Safety experts and were informed about the things to consider before the factory tour. 2016-2017 Industrial Engineering Meet and Greet Dinner
At the beginning of 2016-2017 academic year, on 14 October 2016, a meet and greet dinner was organized in Küçükçekmece Ağa Garden Cafe for the students of our department to meet and greet each other.
 
Producing and Developing Industrial Engineers (URGEM'16) Symposium
Young minds of developing Industry sector of Turkey met with the students at Istanbul Gelisim University on 21- 22 October 2016 for two days. Organization was held by cooperation of Istanbul Gelisim University, Hacettepe University, Uludağ University, Selçuk University and Süleyman Demirel University for 2 days and opening speech was given by the Rector of Istanbul Gelisim University.

Meeting for Introduction of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and Their Activities
On December 8, 2016, Meeting for Introduction of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and Their Activities was held for all classes of Industrial Engineering Department and the lecturers. Event was organized by Fa*** Ko***, the President of Industrial Engineering, IGU Student Commission.
MMO speakers were introduced by Department Head and the meaning and importance of MMO on business life, professional development and their signature authorities were explained. MMO Auditing Board Member made a presentation about the professional and individual development activities and engineering ethics of the Chamber. An talk was given by MMO Beylikdüzü Branch Technical Personnal Mechanical Engineer about the activities such as seminars, courses, internships, technical excursions and cooperation opportunities. On the same day, the MMO booth was opened at 10.00 am before the Introduction and Talk event and professional publications were introduced and the students were registered as "Student Members" by IGU Student Committee.
 
Technical Visit to Yılmaz Redüktör LTD
On 14.12.2016, a technical visit was made to Yılmaz Redüktör A.Ş. as Istanbul Gelisim University, Department of Industrial Engineering with the participation of Department Head and students from classes 1, 2, 3 and 4. A detailed presentation was made by the Aegean region sales manager regarding the gear units, gears, electric motors and Yılmaz Redüktör. Students were provided a pencil, bookmark and notepad to take notes at the meeting. Between 11:00 and 13:00 the participants were divided into two groups and a factory visit was made with the guidance of Industrial Engineers for each group. During this trip, warehouse, quality control, various production lines and turning, broaching, drawing, grinding, planing etc. and the latest technology in the manufacturing process of machine tools were observed and introduced. In addition, casting operations, molds and assembly lines and delivery preparation units were introduced.   With this event, it was aimed that our students have the knowledge about the operation and machines in the factory and to be determinant in the future job choices. We believe that our students will reflect on their observations and acquired knowledge and experience in the following terms.
 
Management and Informatics Summit
Istanbul Gelisim University Industrial Engineering Club, with the aim to improve the vision of students and to guide their careers in different areas of the business world, has brought together experts and "Management and Informatics Summit" was held on February 16-17, 2017 at the Istanbul Gelisim University Fine Arts Faculty Conference Hall.
 
Advanced Excel Training
Microsoft Excel training carried out by Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Industrial Engineering between 07.03.2017-16.03.2017 was completed in 2 weeks with 12 courses on each Tuesday and Thursday between 17.30-20.30. This event is organized by Department Head of Industrial Engineering and IGU Student Committee chair in Mechanical Engineers Chamber Fa*** Ko***.
With the "Excel Training" activity, Industrial Engineering students who are involved with continuous analysis, synthesis and reporting functions in their courses and in their profession have had a chance to improve their personal development. We would like to thank Lecturer Ey*** Em*** Ül*** from Marmara University for this training. We hope that the training for this program, which will be frequently used in professional life, will be useful to our students.


Image Management for Business Life
Industrial Engineers of the future and other participants who will have a role to convince the managers and employees during the designing and developing systems and processes in order to solve the problems in business life have participated in this conference to develop relations in business and private life, to use their own image and the business image effectively and to gain competencies about determination, formation and to actualize of an image. The conference was held on April 11, 2017 at IGU Faculty of Fine Arts Conference Hall.
 
Sector Days 2016
Sector Days 2016 was held on April 18, 2016 in the Faculty of Fine Arts Conference Hall with the attendance of 5 speakers from 5 sectors including speakers who were managers of major companies (Koç Holding, Ulker, Yıldız Holding, Vestel).
This event was organized in order to provide the students ability to view the sector from the perspective of a managers and former Yıldız Holding Vice President, VIA Management Solutions Founder, Koç Holding's former manager, spokesman and Hurriyet Newspaper Columnist Ege Cansen, Amphenol Industrial Defense Industry Turkey and Middle East Business Development Manager and Vestel Former General Manager, the founder of Team Mapics participated as speakers. The founder of VIA Management Solutions, gave a talk about strategic management and planning, he said: "Education is not just about the theoretical knowledge in the books. It is a setting where theory and practice are combined with the experiences and narrations of people from business world." Bayar also stated his opinion on the event in his speech as follows: "With such activities, students contribute to their own development and also this is a means for our own development. Such events should be organized more frequently. We try to emphasize what to do and what not to do by looking at the real world. We convey what the sector wants as people from within the sector."
The speakers who answered the questions of the students of Gelisim University were presented with plates at the end of the event. Following the event, the students attended to a music entertainment event and thanked to participants.

2016-2017 Graduation Ceremony 
Istanbul Gelisim University, Department of Industrial Engineering had its third graduates this year! Our graduation ceremony was held on June 22, 2017 at Yahya Kemal Beyatlı Performance Center. During the ceremony, which was carried out with great enthusiasm by our students and their families, our young engineers have received their diplomas and celebrated their graduation. We congratulate all our students and wish our young engineers a happy and successful life. 
 
2017-2018 Industrial Engineering Meet and Greet Tea Party
At the beginning of 2017-2018 academic year, on 11 October 2017, a meet and greet tea party was organized in Avcılar Pelican Mall WestMix Cafe for the students of our department to meet and greet each other.
 
Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit
"Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit" was organized by Istanbul Gelisim University Industrial Engineering Club (EMK) on 30 November 2017 at the Faculty of Fine Arts Conference Hall. In this summit, experts from various fields of business world have participated with the purpose of improving the visions of students and to guide their careers. The summit started with the opening speeches of President of EMK, Advisor of EMK, Head of Industrial Engineering Department, Dean of Faculty of Architecture, and Vice Rector and the following speakers attended as speakers:

Through this activity, speakers were able talk about process management, entrepreneurship, mentoring, project management, management and leadership, personal development, general business life, career and business life, the processes they are going through, the challenges they face, their failures and experiences, the risks they face in business life. The students of Industrial Engineering department and all the participants had a chance to learn from the experiences of speakers. Plates and flowers were presented to the speakers at the end of the event. We are thankful to all speakers for their participation in this event.

Technical Visit to Burak Alüminyum LTD
On December 4, 2017, a technical visit was organized to the Burak Aluminum factory in Lüleburgaz with the participation of Industrial Engineering Department Head and our department students. The factory is involved in the production of aluminum extrusion profiles and industrial architecture products and it is in the list of Turkey's second 500 large industrial organizations. The production area and production processes were examined in the factory, which is established on an area of ​​65.000 m².   Our Department Head has submitted a plate to Istanbul Chamber of Commerce member and Burak Aluminum Board Member. Following the lunch, we left the factory.

Borusan Otomotiv Lean Six Sigma Training
"Lean Six Sigma Training" organized by the Industrial Engineering Club (EMK), Head of the Industrial Engineering Department at IGU Faculty of Architecture and Engineering, and Adviser to the Department Clubs, was held on March 1, 2018.
Borusan Automotive Lean Six Sigma Department Black Belt Project Managers gave a talk about six sigma training as well as the difficulties they face in their business, their achievements and failures, their experiences, the risks they face in business life, and all the participating engineering students including Industrial Engineer candidates benefited from their experiences. Each speaker was listened by a high level of participation and interest by responding to an interactive narrative and numerous questions.
 
2017-2018 Graduation Ceremony 
Istanbul Gelisim University, Department of Industrial Engineering had its fourth graduates this year! Our graduation ceremony was held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Yahya Kemal Beyatlı Performance Center. During the ceremony, which was carried out with great enthusiasm by our students and their families, our young engineers have received their diplomas and celebrated their graduation. Bu*** Yü***, who was also the president of Istanbul Gelisim University Industrial Engineering Club in 2016-2017 Academic Year graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture with the best average among faculty students and second best degree in University made the following speech: "Industrial Engineering is one of the most significant and most comprehensive departments in the field of engineering. First of all, I want to find a good job. I want to be an engineer who will contribute both my country and my company and myself, instead of being a simple, ordinary engineer."
 

IGU Summer Youth Academy Time Study with Ergo-Trails-1
As part of the 2017-2018 Summer Youth Academy, Ergo-Trails Course was organized by our Department on 10.07.2018 for high school students. Before the competition, Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Industrial Engineering, Laboratory of Ergonomics was introduced. Our faculty, department and laboratory were briefly introduced and Ergo-Trails competition was held.

IGU Summer Youth Academy Time Study with Ergo-Trails-2
As part of the 2017-2018 Summer Youth Academy, Ergo-Trails Course was organized by our Department on 11.07.2018 for high school students.    This event was a continuation of the event held by Research Assistants on 10.07.2018, and Vice Department Head attended and provided information about the field of Industrial Engineering and about our Department.   In Ergo-Trails competition, some tools were changed and the trail was made more difficult on the second day and the students were asked to complete this course.
At the end of the event, Department Head gave a talk and provided information about our Department and mentioned the benefits of this event. We thank all students who have participated in the event.

2018-2019 Industrial Engineering Club Meet and Greet Event
Industrial Engineering Club Meet and Greet Event organized by Industrial Engineering Club President was held on Octoebr 17, 2018 at MMF garden.     Event started with the speeches of Department Head, Club Advisor, Club President and Former President.  Department Head, Club Advisor have stated that club events are actively ongoing and they wished success to the new club administration.    
In this event, the new students of the department met with our students and everyone had a good time.
 
Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit 2
Second "Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit" was held on November 26, 2018 under the direction of Industrial Engineering Club at IGU Faculty of Fine Arts Conference Hall with the participation of experts to contribute students' future and guide them in their career. Event started with the speeches of Club President, Industrial Engineering Department Head, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and IGU Vice rector.
Participants provided information about their work experiences, entrepreneurship, mentoring, management and leadership, personal development, the processes they had to go through when they started in their career and business life, the challenges they faced, their successes and failures, and the risks they took in business life. Students from the Department of Industrial Engineering and other departments benefited from the speakers' experiences and they asked interesting questions.
