Ergonomics Laboratory

In addition to the high quality theoretical education provided in accordance with international standards, the Laboratory of Ergonomics in Istanbul Gelisim University Department of Industrial Engineering is equipped with latest technological devices in order to support students to practice the theoretical knowledge.
Laboratory of Ergonomics is one of the laboratories required for the experiments in the courses in which classical methods and techniques of industrial engineering are explained.

We are a fully equipped laboratory with the most sophisticated equipment and materials related to Labor Studies, Business Studies and Ergonomics lessons, and have a privileged position among all our universities with its equipment and device capacity.

Our laboratory enables us to train future researchers, managers and engineers by contributing to the education and research activities of the students in ergonomics and business studies.

The laboratory includes equipment and material that enable the execution and analysis of a variety of business simulations, with equipment for measuring or recording environmental conditions, human capacity, work methods or durations.

The Laboratory of Ergonomics has sufficient computer support which allows students to make the necessary measurements and ergonomic surveys and designs, to measure and evaluate physiological and anthropometric properties and working environment factors, to record existing and improved work methods and to measure the duration of work items.

The experience gained during these measurements and evaluations sheds light on the issues of design of work and design of display and control devices, design of the work environment, ergonomic workplace arrangement, improved work methods and determination of standard times.
