END401 Industrial Engineering Project Course Information Meeting Held

An information meeting was held by the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) for fourth-year students within the scope of the END401 Industrial Engineering Project course.

The meeting, held on October 7, 2026, was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Didem Yılmaz, a faculty member of the Department of Industrial Engineering. During the meeting, students were provided with detailed information regarding the objectives of the course, the project process to be followed throughout the semester, the determination of project topics and scope, the supervision process, submission schedules, and assessment criteria.

Academic and technical requirements that students should consider while carrying out their projects were also explained in detail. In addition, students had the opportunity to ask questions regarding project topic selection, communication with their supervisors, and the expected submissions throughout the semester.

The END401 Industrial Engineering Project course aims to enable students to integrate and apply the theoretical and practical knowledge they have acquired during their undergraduate education. Through the course, students are expected to further develop their skills in problem analysis, solution development, research, reporting, and project management by working on real-life and industrial problems.

The project process also contributes to strengthening students’ professional competencies and preparing them more effectively for their future careers.

The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session and an exchange of views regarding the project process and the activities to be carried out during the semester.
