An Internship Briefing Meeting for Mechatronics Engineering Students Was Held
The Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Istanbul Gelişim University organized an internship briefing meeting to raise students’ awareness regarding the internship process.
The meeting, held on Tuesday, April 14, at 16:30 in Classroom J-290, was attended by second-year students from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering. The event was led by Research Assistants Res. Asst. Tunay ACIMAN and Res. Asst. Ufuk ATEŞOĞLU, who provided students with comprehensive information regarding the internship process.
During the meeting, key topics such as the total duration of the internship, application requirements and procedures, required documents, and the semesters in which the internship can be completed were discussed. It was noted that the mandatory internship period in the Mechatronics Engineering Department totals 60 working days, that this process is planned as two separate internship periods, and that students can begin their internship as early as the end of their 4th semester. Additionally, it was emphasized that internship applications are submitted through the OBIS system and that students are required to select their own internship locations.
In addition, students were guided on important details to consider during the internship process, the process of preparing an internship book, and official procedures. It was emphasized that the internship is not merely a mandatory academic requirement, but also a critical stage for students to gain professional experience and adapt to the industry.
The meeting concluded with an interactive session where students’ questions were answered, with the aim of helping participants approach the internship process in a more informed and prepared manner.
