The Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Istanbul Gelişim University will participate in the 23rd International Congress on Metallurgy and Materials, to be held at the Istanbul Expo Center on October 22–24, 2026, with three scientific papers.

Two papers will be presented on Thursday, October 22, at the Nanomaterials Symposium, which is part of the congress.

The study by Asst. Prof. Cansu NOBERİ, Res. Asst. Ufuk ATEŞOĞLU, and student Serap Nur AKPINAR, in which they compared the synthesis and structural properties of boron- and silver-doped hydroxyapatite using the sol–gel method, will be presented by Res. Asst. Ufuk ATEŞOĞLU in the Blue Hall between 13:00 and 13: 20 in the Blue Hall.

In the same hall, from 14:20 to 14: 40, Asst. Prof. Cansu NOBERİ and Res. Asst. Ufuk ATEŞOĞLU from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Istanbul Gelişim University, and Prof. Alptekin KISASÖZ, Lecturer Dr. Yahya BAYRAK, and students Feyza YİĞİTER and İrem GÖRÜNÜLÜ from the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering at Yıldız Technical University, will present their collaborative work on the production of aluminum-matrix composites reinforced with SiC and Al₂O₃ nanoparticles, with the presentation presented by Res. Asst. Ufuk ATEŞOĞLU.

At the Symposium on Composite and Polymer Materials, on Friday, October 23, from 15:40 to 16:00, Assoc. Prof. Engin ERBAYRAK, Asst. Prof. Cansu NOBERİ, Res. Asst. Ufuk ATEŞOĞLU, and student Ahmet Melih ALBAYRAK on the production and characterization of thermoplastic matrix composites reinforced with boron-doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles will be presented by student Ahmet Melih ALBAYRAK in the Purple Hall.

The Department of Mechatronics Engineering will contribute to the exchange of scientific knowledge at the conference through these studies on various material groups.
