Technical Visit to Daikin Fuha by Mechatronics Engineering Students
A technical visit to Daikin Fuha was organized by the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Istanbul Gelisim University as part of the MEK311-Thermodynamics course conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haydar KEPEKÇİ. During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe air-conditioning systems, heating and cooling technologies, and the fundamental operating principles of these systems. Accompanied by informative presentations from the Daikin technical team, the visit contributed to students’ understanding of how the theoretical concepts of thermodynamics and energy conversion covered in the course are applied in industrial practice.
On October 20, 2026, the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Istanbul Gelişim University organized a technical visit to Daikin Fuha as part of the MEK311-Thermodynamics course conducted by Assoc. Prof. Haydar KEPEKÇİ. The visit, attended by students from the department, provided an opportunity to examine air conditioning and heating-cooling technologies firsthand.
Throughout the tour, students had the opportunity to examine air conditioning systems and their basic operating principles, guided by briefings from the Daikin technical team. Explanations regarding heating and cooling processes helped students understand how the thermodynamic concepts covered in class correspond to real-world industrial applications.
The knowledge gained during the visit supported the students in evaluating fundamental engineering topics, such as heat transfer and energy conversion, through the lens of climate control technologies. Observing the operation of the systems firsthand provided a valuable experience in reinforcing theoretical knowledge with real-world applications and understanding the relationships between different engineering processes.
This technical visit, which fosters interaction between the university and industry, helped raise students’ awareness of the climate control sector and contributed to the development of their professional perspectives.
